The sea. The risk and the attraction divided between two genders: the male and the female. Both are essential, both complementary.

The relationship of women with the sea is intense and changing in the course of history. Whether as companions, dressed in men’s clothing or even as pirates, women have sailed the seas. Women have contributed over the centuries to the maritime economy with their effort and organizational capacity. Their work has covered important areas of social character in the fishing and marine communities.  

Although the relevance of women’s participation is unquestionable, there is a deficit in the public recognition of their contribution. This collection is inspired by all those women and their workforce.
